Basket Full Of Hats
There is a basket full of hats. 3 of them are white and 2 of them are black. There are 3 men Tom, Tim, and Jim. They each take a hat out of the basket and put it on their heads without seeing the hat they selected or the hats the other men selected. The men arrange themselves so Tom can see Tim and Jim's hats, Tim can see Jim's hat, and Jim can't see anyone's hat.
Tom is asked what color his hat is and he says he doesn't know.
Tim is asked the same question, and he also doesn't know.
Finally, Jim is asked the question, and he does know.
What color is his hat?
Tom is asked what color his hat is and he says he doesn't know.
Tim is asked the same question, and he also doesn't know.
Finally, Jim is asked the question, and he does know.
What color is his hat?
Hint:
The hat is white. If Tom doesn't know his hat color then the other two men's hats cannot be both black otherwise he would know his is white. When Tim doesn't know his hat color either, that means Jim's hat could not be black otherwise Tim would have to know his hat was white to fulfill the information discovered through Tom's answer. A. $30
B. 70
C. $100
D. $130
E. $170
F. $200
DO NOT OVER THINK IT!
A. $30
B. 70
C. $100
D. $130
E. $170
F. $200
DO NOT OVER THINK IT!
Hint:
The best answer from the choices is the owner lost $100. The $100 bill that was stolen was then given back to the owner. What the owner loses is the $70 worth of goods and the $30 in change, which makes for a total of $70 + $30 = $100. The owner has lost $100.
Technically, the owner lost $30 plus the value, V, of the $70 of goods. Since stores typically sell goods at a markup, the value may be less than $70. But in the case of a loss leader, the owner may have lost more than $70. Did you answer this riddle correctly?

Two Five Letter Names
I am two five letter names 500 is at the start, 10 is in my heart. In the middle of that is 1, Near the end is none. At the end is 14, Yet that is not all that has been seen. It's a word that rhymes with liver, Yes, to the left of that is river. Whats my name?
Hint:
River Dixon. We know his name is river, so 500 being D in Roman numerals, 10 being X, 1 being I, and an is the fourteenth letter of the alphabet. D at the start, X in the middle, in the middle of those two is I, so that spells DIX, near the end is none/0, which is like an O so that's DIXON. Then to the left of that is River so, RIVER DIXON. For The Love Of Sugar
Jessy was an average girl that LOVED sugar. One day she decided to make a batch of cookies. She looked in her cabinet and saw that there was only one cup of sugar in there. Jessy went to the store and bought three cups of sugar. She put them ALL on the table. Jessy takes one. How many does she have?
Hint:
If you guessed one... you are absolutely right. There were some of the best tricks in this quiz. I will only tell one. But first I will tell you why you should have got that answer. In the beggining it says "She looked in her cabinet and saw that there was only one cup of suger in there." Many people forget about that part. Also, some people think that the riddle says that she takes away one. She doesn't. she TAKES ONE. She has ONE. One trick used in this was that I used many extra things in it that didn't have to do with the riddle. It just makes you examine them harder and gets you more confused. The Murder Of Ray Whitcombe
Ray Whitcombe is found dead in his office at his desk. The police have narrowed the suspects down to three people: Mrs. Barbara Whitcombe, Ray's wife; Mr. Jason McCubbins, Ray's business partner; and Mr. Harold Nichols, Ray's best friend. All three visited Mr. Whitcombe the day of his murder, but all three provide the police with stories of explanation as to the reason for their visit. Police found Mr. Whitcombe with his wrist watch still on his right arm, a torn up picture of his wife laying on the floor beside the trash can, and an ink pen in his right hand. On the desk, the police found a name plate, a telephone that was off the hook, and a personal calendar turned to the July 5th page with 7B91011 written on it. After examining this evidence, the police knew their suspect. Who was it?
Hint:
Jason McCubbins, Ray's business partner. The calendar is the clue to solving this murder. The police realized that since Mr. Whitcombe was wearing his watch on his right arm, he must be left handed. But the pen was found in his right hand. Realizing that the number on the calendar was written in a hurry and with his opposite hand, police matched the written number with the months of the year. So the B was an 8, thereby giving us 7-8-9-10-11: July, August, September, October, November. Use the first letter of each month and it spells J-A-S-O-N. Did you answer this riddle correctly?
