100 Floors Riddle
There was a building with 100 floors. A short man lived on the very top floor, the 100th floor. On sunny days, he would ride the elevator up to the 70th floor, then climb the stairs up the rest of the way. On rainy days, he would ride the elevator straight to his apartment, the 100th floor. Why?
Hint:

Fox Rabbit Cabbage
A merchant has a fox, a rabbit, and a head of lettuce and sits on the edge of a river. He has a small raft capable of carrying only himself and one item at a time, but without his supervision the fox will eat the rabbit, and the rabbit will eat the lettuce. How can he successfully transport all goods from one side of the river to the next without losing the lettuce or rabbit? The dilemma, of course, is true regardless of which side of the river they are on and there is no other way across.
Hint:
First the farmer takes the rabbit across and returns to the fox & cabbage. Next, the farmer takes the cabbage, but when he arrives to the other side with the rabbit, he leaves the cabbage and takes the rabbit back on the raft with him to return and get the fox. He exchanges the rabbit for the fox and returns to drop the fox off with the cabbage, and finally goes back to get the rabbit. Did you answer this riddle correctly?

Missing Dollar Riddle
Three guests check into a hotel room. The clerk says the bill is $30, so each guest pays $10. Later the clerk realizes the bill should only be $25. To rectify this, he gives the bellhop $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop realizes that he cannot divide the money equally. As the guests didn't know the total of the revised bill, the bellhop decides to just give each guest $1 and keep $2 for himself. Each guest got $1 back: so now each guest only paid $9; bringing the total paid to $27. The bellhop has $2. And $27 + $2 = $29 so, if the guests originally handed over $30, what happened to the remaining $1?
Hint: Make a list of all of the people involved and how much money they ended up with/spent.
The $9 paid by each guest accounts for the $2 that went to the bellhop. So rather than adding $27 to the $2 kept by the bellhop, the $27 accounts for the bellhops money. The $27 plus the $3 kept by the guests does add up to $30. Did you answer this riddle correctly?

There was little on the island, few coconuts, small amount of clean water, and some pineapple. There were also quite a few pelicans, which the man thought was strange cause there was so little food on the island. Well one day his son died. They were devastated. The man and his wife tried to survive by eating the pineapples and trying to catch a pelican but never could catch one. When the man was close to death his wife had brought him some meat from a pelican that she had caught. He loved it and that saved his life. He was rescued by a helicopter and brought back to his city without his wife cause she had died before. So one day back in the city he went into a bar and he ordered a pelican sandwich to remind him of his wife. He took one bite and he went outside and shot himself. Why did he kill himself?
Hint:
He took one bite of it but it was not the same meat that his wife had given to him on the island. He realized that the meat she had given him on the island was really her dead son. So he went out and killed himself because he couldn't live with himself after he ate his own son. Did you answer this riddle correctly?

9 Golf Balls
You know that out of your 9 golf balls there is one that is lighter than the others. But, the light ball is to small a difference for the "hand balance!" You're in luck, the course you're at has a scale, but you can only afford to use it 2 times. How do you figure it out?
Hint:
STEP 1: Divide it into sets of three. If you put one set on either side, it'll either equal the same, or you'll see which set is lighter. Either way, you narrow it down to three balls.
STEP 2: put two of the balls on the scale. If they're equal, the last ball is defective, but if not, the scale will tell you which one is lighter. Did you answer this riddle correctly?
